Classes We Offer
Join Our Dance Community
Our Dance Studio offers a large variety of dance classes for all skill levels. Our experienced teachers are passionate about helping each dancer achieve their highest potential, while also having as much fun as possible. Have a look at our classes below to find the one that best fits your needs.
TINY STARS // MUMS & BUBS
Dance classes for your little one to discover the magic and joy of dance. Your Tiny Star will absolutely love our classes that combine ballet, jazz, coordination & movement, imagination and singing all in one fun filled class. Watch your child's confidence grow every week as they are nurtured in our caring & safe environment. You will feel at ease knowing we are providing quality education where your child will gain valuable life skills & help equip them for a positive transition into school.
Why not try Tiny Tap? A great little add on class to compliment the Tiny Stars Dance Program. 3-5 year olds.
Our Mums & Bubs classes are similar to our Tiny Stars classes but you get to watch and join in the fun! This class is a great introduction to dance for those little groovers that are 2 -3 years old.
All of our ballet classes follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. Ballet promotes discipline, self confidence and develops students coordination, strength and technical ability.
We offer our students the opportunity to complete their RAD ballet exams. Students must attend a minimum of 2 ballet classes per week in order to be eligible for their exams. These exams are set out by the RAD and are designed to encourage, motivate and reward students of all ages and abilities.
Jazz is one of our most popular styles of dance offered, focussing on building strong dance technique including kicks, turns & jumps. Our classes also work towards greater flexibility, stamina, musicality and coordination. Jazz choreography is typically fast paced and energetic combined with the latest popular music & 'classics' from the genre. We offer jazz classes for both recreational and competiton level students.
A very popular style that lets students explore their creativity without needing any previous dance training. Always evolving, Hip Hop is a free and funky style where students are encouraged to develop their own feel and expression of movement. Learn current choreography that will always incorporate age appropriate music and moves.
Modern dance combines the techniques of Jazz and Classical Ballet. It builds a strong centre and a high level of technique while encouraging self expression, natural movement and personal interpretation. This is a great class for students who want to explore their creativity using their body in a fun and safe environment.
Students will learn a range of tumbling and acro skills depending on their level. Progressing from cartwheels, handstands and round offs to walkovers, handsprings, barnis and flips. These skills are all used to enhance and compliment other dance styles.
Uniforms & Fees
All ballet uniforms are available from Spangles, Dee Why. Just let the staff know what ballet grade you are in and what studio you are from and they will know exactly what you need. Exam students who require a character skirt will need to order one from the Bourne2Dance office.
For all other dance styles you can purchase your uniform directly from the studio.
The following prices reflect a 10 week term as the majority of the year our terms run for 10 weeks. In the event that the term is not 10 weeks all fees are adjusted to reflect this.
30 minute class = $135 per 10 week term
45 minute class = $153 per 10 week term
60 minute class = $171 per 10 week term
Multi Class Discounts apply to each individual child.
3 classes = 5%
4 classes = 10%
5 classes = 15%
6 classes or more = 20%
If your child is doing more than 7 classes per week please contact the office to discuss our unlimited classes package.
All fees are due by week 2 of every term. Any fees paid after week 2 will incur a $15 late fee.
All students are charged a $30 annual registration fee.
Can I trial a class before committing to the whole term?
Absolutely! All students trying out for the first time are able to do so obligation free. Once you have completed your first class and are happy to continue for the whole term we will send you an invoice. If you find that the class isn't for you and do not wish to continue there are no fees to be paid. You will still need to register for the class to trial it.
What should I wear to my 1st class?
Comfortable clothes that you can move in eg. leggings/tights and a singlet top. Whatever makes you feel like dancing! No denim please as it restricts movement. We do have a uniform that will need to be purchased if you wish to continue.
Are parents allowed to watch classes?
We do not permit parents or spectators to watch classes as it can be very distracting to the students and the teachers. Pre-schoolers in particular perform much better with out Mum or Dad in the room. Should they not want to detach from you, the Mums and Bubs class would be more suitable until such a time that they feel confident enough to dance without you. We do have a "parent watching week" in terms 1 and 2 where all parents and guests are welcome into the classroom.
Do you have a concert?
Yes. Our end of year concert is held in November at Chatswood Concourse Theatre.
